Strands91 is a free themed word search puzzle. You find words related to a theme on a 6×8 letter grid by dragging across adjacent letters. It is available in English and Spanish.

What Is Strands?

Strands is a word search puzzle where all hidden words connect to a theme. Each puzzle also has a spangram - a special word that names the theme and spans the entire grid from one edge to the other. You find words by dragging through adjacent letters.

Two Game Modes

Daily mode gives everyone the same puzzle each day. It resets at midnight UTC. Unlimited mode lets you play as many puzzles as you want from a curated pool.

The Hint System

Finding 3 non-themed valid words earns you a hint. Using a hint briefly reveals the letters of one unfound themed word. This system rewards exploration - even wrong guesses that form real words move you closer to solving the puzzle.

Privacy

Strands91 does not require an account. Game progress, statistics, and preferences are saved in your browser's localStorage. Nothing personal is sent to a server.
